Ottoman

One of my favourite pieces of furniture is an Ottoman. Ottomans are a great way to add fun and function to a space. These beautiful pieces of furniture are mostly upholstered and are either fabric or leather. They come in all shapes and sizes but the most popular ones are round, square and rectangular and are easily available.

These are great to use as coffee table substitutes if you are someone who wants to bring an element of difference and can be also used as foot rests. A great way to sit and watch Television, read a book with feet up and relax. You can also use them as a coffee table by placing a try on them to place your snacks and cups or glasses. I love them as additional seating. Having more guests than expected has never been an accommodation problem as I always like having a few of them and pull them in to use as additional seating.

Another thing I like about them is that they add so much texture and colour to the space. Pair a beautifully textured ottoman to create a contrast for your sofa and add a bit of drama. These are truly great additions to your rooms. I have added them to entrances, under consoles which come in handy to sit and put your shoes on. I love pairing them with accent chairs to create relaxing reading areas. Whether you place one or two ottomans in front of a sofa depends on the size of the sofa and ottoman as well as your needs.

A good suggestion is to keep in mind functionality and aesthetics as both are important to prioritise when creating a beautiful retreat for yourself. As a designer I look at all aspects of functionality and beauty to create a marvellous look that you love and enjoy for a long time and ottomans are definitely a winner.

Fast, cheap and good — from these three things you should always choose two. If it’s fast and cheap, it will never be good. If it’s cheap and good, it will never work out quickly.

Think about the content that you want to invest in a created object, and only then will form. The thing is your spirit. A spirit unlike forms hard copy.

We need to understand what the customer wants, and to connect it with your wishes and possibilities. To create something outstanding, we need the enthusiasm of both. I am a very happy person, because I worked with wonderful customers who have helped me very.
